This is really just a joke… there was so much on Twitter this morning about “time” “4D” and such… I just had to point out this in Premiere Pro

Hey Chris here's a good tutorial on time remapping (versus the speed/duration option) -- you can remap time on the sequence/timeline itself, or the effects control panel, with ease in/ease out style bezel control like AE

a long time ago Premiere had a function called something like Paste to Fill, which allowed you to cut or copy a clip then bring it to a gap between two other clips and paste it there...and the speed would automatically be adjusted to speed it up or slow it down to fill the gap.

I think it got lost a while ago, but there is something similar in PPro now:

the letter X switches into a time stretch/speed change mode. then you can pull a clip longer or shorter. It's not affecting the in or out point; rather, it's affecting the clip's speed.

SO if you need a clip to have a precise amount of speed change, right click, go to speed duration and type in a specific amount (45%) or length (3:21). But if you just have a gap that needs to be filled, you can use the Speed Change tool.
