Tutorial - FCPX 10.1 Duplicate Project as Snapshot

OK, this feature of FCPX 10.1 is a bit weird and I thought it was worth diving into it a bit. What is the difference between Duplicate Project and Duplicate Project as a Snapshot. This is a bit tricky but totally worth looking into.

So, let's say I've made several iterations of a project as snapshots. What happens if I drill directly into the compound clip from the Browser, what will be the snapshot state?
